Hunting for ‘the white gold’ in truffle capital Alba

When the temperatures drop and autumn starts in the northern Italian hills, the truffle madness starts. This rare and especially delicious tuber can only be tracked down by trained dogs. For Dutch newspaper Algemeen Dagblad, I put on my boots and went truffle hunting.
